Let's talk beauty - why is matcha great for skin?

So you start your mornings with a warm cup of matcha latte, which gently wakes you up and prepares you for the day. You can't imagine an afternoon without your favorite pick-me-up energy matcha drink? You have also tried delicious matcha pancakes?
Now is the perfect time to incorporate this magical green powder into your beauty routine as well!

Matcha is known for its anti-aging, antioxidant, and soothing properties, which is why it is becoming an important ingredient in numerous beauty products.

MATCHA BEAUTY BENEFITS

1. Radiant skin
Matcha is rich in antioxidants - it has more antioxidants than any other food. Compared to spinach, strawberries, goji berries, dark chocolate, and broccoli, which are known for their exceptional number of antioxidants, matcha contains more antioxidants than all of those foods combined! Compared to regular green tea, matcha has 137 times more antioxidants.
The antioxidants found in matcha enhance blood circulation in the skin, which makes it radiant. In addition to antioxidants, matcha also contains methylxanthines, which help strengthen the microcirculation in the skin, making it healthy and glowy. It also stimulates the production of skin elastin.
2. Slows down the aging process
As already mentioned, matcha is one of the richest sources of antioxidants in nature, and the most powerful and useful ones are catechins. Catechin called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) makes up 60% of catechins in matcha, and it is most famous for fighting free radicals - the culprits for premature signs of aging. EGCG helps to neutralize them, resulting in reduced oxidative stress, which accelerates cell aging.
3. Fights inflammatory processes
In addition to maintaining an even complexion and skin elasticity, the antioxidants in matcha act to reduce inflammatory processes. If you have irritated and red skin, matcha will soothe it.
4. Helps with acne problems
The anti-inflammatory properties of the matcha reduce inflammation and redness of the skin. Also, the already mentioned EGCG is a known fighter against the development of bacteria that cause acne and other skin imperfections. Additionally, matcha lowers the levels of hormones that act on the development of acne.
5. An effective solution for oily skin
Oily skin is a common problem for many women, especially during hot summer days. The solution to this can be found in matcha, which works by reducing pores and slowing down the secretion of sebum.
