Autumn wellbeing gathering with Materia matcha, pilates Reformers, and conscious breathing
Enjoying healthy matcha drinks and sunny rays
A warm, sunny morning served as the perfect backdrop for a wellbeing event in Zagreb's Tuškanac, which we organized in mid-October in collaboration with Dishi Pilates Garden. We started the gathering with hot and iced matcha drinks. Matcha, a delicate powdered green tea, is known for its miraculous properties, especially for its exceptional number of antioxidants. It is often said to be an alkalizing coffee - it gives us energy, but unlike coffee, it is gastrointestinally tolerable. Matcha contains five times more L-theanine than regular green tea - a feel-good amino acid that stimulates alpha brain waves and reduces stress. This effect is called satori by Japanese Buddhists, which translates to calming euphoria. Slowly releasing caffeine combined with L-theanine improves cognitive functions, creating consistent, sustainable energy.
Effective workouts on Reformers at Dishi Pilates Garden
After enjoying the healthy green drink and sunny rays in the beautiful zen ambiance of Dishi Pilates Garden, 5 selected guests, including Iris Cekuš, Iva Šarić, Anita Dujić, Dorin Zelenika, and Magda Smojever, tried training on Reformers, an increasingly popular pilates machine that works the entire body, known for its effectiveness in strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, and correcting posture. Dishi Pilates Garden specializes in training on Reformer machines, and each participant has the opportunity to exercise in small groups, allowing expert instructors to provide individualized attention and support. Regardless of fitness level, the programs are adaptable and focused on achieving personal goals. Dishi Pilates Garden is the perfect place for all pilates enthusiasts who want to improve their health and well-being, and it is located at two locations - Tuškanac and Horvatovac.
Relaxation with breathing exercises led by Daniel Skoblar
This was followed by relaxation on stylish Materia mats, in soft pajamas by the Croatian brand Peau, and breathing exercises led by Daniel Skoblar, a breathing educator and trainer, public speaker, and the first Wim Hof method instructor in Croatia, specializing in human optimization. Daniel educated the participants about functional breathing and guided them through relaxing breathing exercises, which provided them with refreshment and energy for the rest of the day. Born and raised in New York, Daniel returned to Croatia a few years ago and now uses his unique experience to improve lifestyle and performance through breathing awareness and training. His philosophy is based on the belief that mastering one's own breathing is key to mental and physical well-being.
Concluding the gathering with healthy snacks and a rich goodie bag
With tasty and healthy snacks, kombucha, and coconut water provided by Bio & Bio, and a goodie bag containing a Materia matcha set, water bottle, exercise mat, Biotherm cream, Juno jewelry, Peau pajamas, and a hoodie by Dishi Pilates Garden, the gathering came to an end.
A new season as an opportunity for change and self-care
The new season brings an opportunity to embrace change, slow down, reconnect with nature, and prioritize self-care, which was the common thread of our autumn wellbeing event.
